According to reports,  Anderson and Tommy Lee are huge fans of  ‘ink plastering’ and the two happened to share a needle when they were tattooing their skin. Lee had been diagnosed with the virus and she gave it to Anderson when the needle was shared through the blood to blood contact. Hepatitis C can be cured, therefore it is expected not to have such a big effect on Anderson’s long term health.

Update: Pamela Anderson announced she has been cured of hepatitis C after living with the virus for 16 years.

The actress and model, 48, took to Instagram to share her good news. “I am CURED!!! – I just found out #nomorehepc,” she wrote in the caption. “I pray anyone living with hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still…#dontlosehope.”
