Check Out These Halloween Inspired Creepy Desserts

Also known  known as Allhalloween – All Hallows’ Eve, or All Saints’ Eve, the Halloween festival is around the corner. It is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. This day initiates the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, a time dedicated to remember the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers.

It is the custom that the costumes, decorations, music and food used during this season depicts death, darkness, and pain. Although I am yet to understand why this festival is so important to children more especially, they are the most participators of Halloween and are usually not threatened by the scary things they see. Rather, children are more thrilled by the candy bars, cakes, cookies and desserts that they would be getting from friends, families and neighbors than they are about the event itself.

This is why bakers now pay more attention to the meals served during Halloween. Creativity and innovation is the order of the day and it plays out in all works of life, including the confectionery world, as they now make themed cakes that expresses the purpose of the occasion and also adds colour as well. In the spirit of Halloween, we gathered top thirty creepiest and goriest cakes and desserts ever made and inspired by the annual festival of the dead. If you look past the scary nature of these creative hand works you will find the most amazing edibles though clad in eyes, blood and skeletons, they sure do taste yummy.
