She completed the look with a smooth and glossy hairstyle that boasts long, side-swept bangs that covered one eye very slightly.

The elegant gown, with its off-the-shoulder cap sleeve and wrapped detailing at the waist, is one of the most glamorous gowns that Obama has worn in her spate of appearances since being the First Lady.

The dress was made by Atelier Versace which is a haute-couture branch of the Italian fashion house. It was crafted by the designer known for her independence and courage.

Also on the best part, the bespoke gown, was quite fittingly chosen in light of her Italian guests since she has the tradition of wearing dresses to state dinners by designers representing the nation being honoured.
