Since the yearly survey of the wealthiest people living in the United Kingdom has been announced, it is no shock that Britain’s billionaires are still doubling their wealth. Based on a report by Guardian, the collective wealth of Britain’s 1,000 richest people had more than doubled in the last 10 years leading to a combined fortune of just more than £547bn or £547m each on average, not counting what’s in their bank accounts. As it gets tougher to get on the list, the stakes was once again raised as it now a minimum fortune of £100m to be on the top 100 list. That is £15 million higher than last year’s minimum, while in 1997 it took a personal wealth of ‘just’ £15 million to make the list. Below is the latest ranking of the richest people in Britain and they include 25 people who are richer than the royal family in Britain.
