A sniper is a highly trained marksman who operates alone, in a pair, or with a sniper team to maintain close visual contact with the enemy and engage targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the detection capabilities of enemy personnel. One of the mind-blowing facts about these snipers is that trained snipers can conceal themselves in the most unthinkable places we’d least expect, hidden far from the human eye. They are tremendously trained and are often seen as lone assassins racking up “confirmed kills.” But the in real sense of it, true snipers work for military and law enforcement agencies and as such are very much concerned with the number of lives they save rather than with the ones they take.
Even though, military snipers are as expected best shooters who conceal, line up a target in their sights and then pull the trigger, there is a lot more to it than that. Yes! we didn’t know they were this good. Simon Menner contacted the German army back in 2010 to show us just how deadly these killers can be. He had two distinct photo shoots with these highly trained snipers. While one took place in a dull forest in northern Germany with soldiers who were young and lacking much experience, the second was in the German Alps with a group of best soldiers. The effect of the two shoots is hugely remarkable, to say the least. The big question here is: where exactly are these snipers in the photos below?
The Sniper is straight up from the big boulder in the lower left corner, where the color of the stones changes from light to dark.
The Sniper is on the right behind the piece of wood on the ground next to the second tree.
The Sniper is under the twigs and branches on the left.
The sniper’s muzzle is visible on top of the two big boulders in the lower right corner.
The Sniper is on the right of the path inside the small bushes.
The sniper is on a small hill close to the edge of the forest on the right side of the picture.
The Sniper is under the left side of the birch tree.
Sniper above the brownish rotten wood. Slightly to the right. Spotter behind him to the left.
Sniper is on the right side, behind the grass and below the small trees in the foreground.
Sniper at the right edge of the left rock formation.
Would you have spotted the snipers without help? I wouldn’t either. You have to realize that the time, patience, and training invested into being a sniper is way beyond compare. They are doing an amazing jobs at concealing themselves though, wouldn’t you say?
