LeBron James has made his mark in the sands of time and has become a living legend, one of the greatest basketball stars the world has ever known. Drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first overall pick of the NBA draft of 2003, James is a three-time NBA Champion and three-time NBA Finals MVP. In addition, he has been named NBA All-Star fourteen times consecutively from 2005 to 2018. He is a three-time All-Star game MVP, as well as, twelve-time All NBA First Team and a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist with the United States National Team.

Lebron James’ Bio

Born LeBron Raymone James in Akron, Ohio on December 30, 1984, to Gloria Marie James and Anthony McClelland, James started his amateur career with the Northeast Ohio Shooting Stars of the Amateur Athletic Union. He played alongside Willie McGee, Sian Cotton, and Dru Joyce III popularly called the Fab Four. He attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron where he played basketball for the school team. He finished his high school career as the most outstanding player of St Vincent-St Mary.

James participated in several competitions including high school basketball All-Star games, McDonald’s All-American Game, EA Sports Roundball Classic, and Jordan Capital Classic among others. He was named to the USA Today All-USA First Team three times, he won division II championship titles thrice as well as Gatorade National Player of the Year Award, thus, being dubbed as ‘Ohio Mr. Basketball.’

Drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, James was the first overall pick in the NBA draft of 2003. He finished his rookie season averaging 20.9 points per game with 5.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds. He was also named NBA Rookie of the Year in the 2003/2004 season. The following season, he finished the season with an average of 27.2 points, as well as 7.4 rebounds, 2.2 steals, and 7.2 assists per game.

He was named to the NBA All-Star First Team. During the 2005/06 season, he recorded new career highs with 31.4 points, 6.6 assists, and 7 rebounds. In addition, he also scored 29 points in the NBA All-Star game, thus becoming the NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player. He played for the Cavaliers for four more seasons, ending his six-year career in 2010.

Becoming a free agent in 2010, James signed up with the Miami Heat with a six-year contract worth $110.1 million. Playing alongside fellow top stars such as Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, LeBron James led the Heat to a back-to-back championship in 2012 and 2013. He also became the NBA Finals MVP in those two championships. He made an NBA franchise history in 2013 by becoming the youngest player to score 20,000 career points.

After the 2013/14 season, opting out of his six-year contract with the Miami Heat, James returned to the Cavaliers. Alongside Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, James led the Cavaliers to the 2014 NBA finals, before losing to the Golden State Warriors. The following season, the Cavaliers clinched the victory, ending the 52-year championship drought in Cleveland.

James was plagued by injuries during the 2016/17 season, however, the Cavaliers reached the NBA Finals for the third consecutive time but lost to the Golden State Warriors again. Same was recorded in the 2017/18 season, after which James opted out of his contract with the Cavaliers and became a free agent in June 2018. He further announced his signing with the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year deal worth $154 million. After his signing on July 9, 2018, his jersey sale rose to 600 percent within the first three hours.

The basketball prodigy was born to Gloria Marie James and Anthony McClelland. Surprisingly, James never saw much of his father who reportedly had an extensive criminal record. Since his parents were never married and he was raised by a single mother, life was very tough for mother and child as they struggled to earn a living.

In a bid to provide a more stable life for her son, James mother allowed him to live with a local youth football coach named Frank Walker. Walker played a significant role of a father for LeBron James and introduced him to basketball when he was nine and that has led to his rise to superstardom.

While the superstar has been excelling in his basketball career, he also got a loving and caring family. He got hitched to his high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson and they both have three children. Brinson is an American businesswoman and philanthropist who hail from Akron, Ohio in the United States. Born on August 27, 1986, Savannah grew up with her parents JK and Jennifer Brinson.

After her education, the amazing lady became a furniture and interior designer. Partnering with American Signature, she founded her own furniture line called Home Court. Savannah also ran a juice shop known as The Juice Shop situated in Brickell, Florida; the shop was shut down following her family’s relocation to Ohio in 2016. In addition, she also formed a mentorship program known as Women of Our Future and she is currently the Vice President of the LeBron James Family Foundation.

The duo met each other during their high school days at Buchtel Community Learning Center situated in Akron, Ohio. After a while, they fell in love and after nine years of successful relationship, the cute lovers decided to seal their love in a nuptial bliss. They announced their engagement on his 27th birthday on December 30, 2011, and two years later, they tied the knot in a lavish wedding held in San Diego, California on September 14, 2013.

Prior to their wedding, they welcomed their first bundle of joy, a son, LeBron James Jr. born in 2004. Three years later, they welcomed their second child, Bryce Maximus born in 2007 and in 2014; they welcomed their third child, a daughter Zhuri James. They currently reside in Los Angeles and there is no sign of breakup yet.
