Who is Robert Costa?
Robert Costa is an outstanding American journalist and a top-notch political analyst associated with NBC News, The Washington Post, and MSNBC. He is also popular for being the host of the PBS show titled Washington Week. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Costa first came into this world on October 14, 1985. His parents, Anne-Dillon Costa and her husband Thomas Costa are both prominent attorneys in the United States. He grew up alongside his three siblings in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and attended Pennsbury High School, situated in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. After his graduation in 2004, he enrolled at the University of Notre Dame where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in American studies in 2008. He further obtained his master’s degree in politics from the Cambridge University the following year.
Robert Costa began his journalism career right from high school. At the time, he worked as a reporter for the school press called The Bucks County Courier Times as well as the student’s television PHS-TV. While he was in college, he worked as an intern on ABC show titled This Week with George Stephanopoulos as well as House of Commons of the United Kingdom. He further anchored several interviews for the ND-TV show titled Office Hours.
Upon graduation, he joined National Review Magazine where he worked as a reporter from 2010 to 2013. He was promoted to the position of an Editor for the Washington-based National Review Magazine, and he reported the US Federal Government Shutdown and the Republican Party Congress held in 2013. After he left National Review in 2013, he joined The Washington Post where he continued working as a reporter in 2014. The following year, he became a political analyst on MSNBC and NBC. He has conducted several interviews with prominent American political icons including the incumbent President of the United States, Donald Trump.
He appeared as a guest anchor on PBS television program called Charlie Rose in March 2017. Following the death of Gwen Ifill, the moderator of the PBS show titled Washington Week; Robert Costa was chosen as her permanent replacement in April 2017. He is currently working as the anchor of Washington Week, as well as, a national political analyst for PBS network. Additionally, Costa cited great American journalists including Tim Russert and Robert Caro as his major influences.
